Keyboard shortcuts for the roadmap

If you live on your Creative Roadmap, keyboard navigation is the difference between a five-minute standup update and a thirty-second one. The board is built to be driven from the keyboard so you can move between cards, change statuses, and run bulk actions without constantly dragging with the mouse. This guide covers how keyboard nav works and the workflows it speeds up.

Why use the keyboard on the roadmap

Dragging cards is fine for one or two moves, but when you're processing a whole column — clearing your Ready to test cards or archiving a batch of dead creatives — reaching for the mouse every time is slow. Keyboard navigation lets you keep your hands in one place and rip through updates. It's especially valuable during a live standup, where you're updating the board in real time while the team talks.

Open the Creative Roadmap.
Click once anywhere on the board (or on a card) to give it focus.
Use the arrow keys to move the selection between cards and across columns.
With a card selected, use the status controls to move it to the next stage.
Press the search shortcut to jump straight to finding a specific creative by name.

The exact key bindings are shown in the roadmap's own shortcuts helper — look for the keyboard or help icon in the board toolbar to see the current list for your account, since bindings can evolve.

Common keyboard-driven workflows

Rather than memorizing every key, focus on the handful of flows that save the most time day to day.

Sweep a column

Select the first card in a column, then move down it card by card, changing statuses as you go. This is the fastest way to clear a Ready to test column at the start of a launch day — you touch each card once and it's gone.

Find and act

Use the search shortcut to filter to a specific creative, act on it, then clear the search. When you know a creative's name, this beats scanning columns by eye — and it pairs well with the roadmap's filters for status, awareness, and ad type.

Bulk status changes

For big moves, select multiple creatives and apply one status change to all of them at once. Bulk actions are ideal for end-of-sprint cleanup — archive everything that didn't make the cut, or push a batch from Working to Ready to test in a single step.

Standup: navigate card to card and update statuses live as the team reports
Launch day: sweep your Ready to test column into Testing in one pass
Cleanup: multi-select stale cards and bulk-archive them
Triage: search to a creative, reassign or restatus it, then move on

Pro tip: combine keyboard nav with the My Queue view. Filter to just your cards first, then keyboard-sweep through them — you're only navigating work that's actually yours, so there's nothing to skip past.

When dragging still wins

Keyboard nav isn't meant to replace the mouse entirely. Precise reordering within a column, or moving a single card while you're already reading its details, can be quicker with a drag. Use whichever is faster for the move in front of you — the goal is throughput, not purity.
