Getting started with ATIYO: your first 15 minutes

ATIYO product documentation · Getting Started · 6 min read

You can go from an empty ATIYO account to a real creative brief on your roadmap in about 15 minutes. This quickstart walks you through the exact order to do things in so each step sets up the next. Start after your workspace is active.

By the end you'll have named your brand, seeded a few avatars, written your first brief, and started your Creative Roadmap. Don't aim for perfect; aim for a working skeleton you can refine later.

Short on time? The single highest-value step is adding two or three customer avatars to your Brand Bible. Everything else in ATIYO builds on them.

Minutes 1-3: complete onboarding

When you first sign in, ATIYO's onboarding asks for the essentials. Move through it quickly; you can change anything later in Settings.

  1. Enter your brand name so your workspace is labeled correctly.
  2. Use quick-add to drop in a few library items (avatars, angles, or ad types) to seed your Brand Bible.
  3. Optionally upload a brand doc so your strategy lives alongside your creative work.

Minutes 3-7: seed your Brand Bible

Open your Brand Bible and add the strategic ingredients your briefs will pull from. You only need a starter set right now.

  • Add 2-3 customer avatars (for example, "Busy new parent" or "Weekend endurance athlete").
  • Give each a core desire and one or two marketing angles.
  • List the ad types you run most, such as UGC testimonial, static, or founder story.

Have a lot to add at once? You can bulk import avatars and angles from an Excel/CSV template instead of typing them one by one. See building your first Brand Bible for the full walkthrough.

Minutes 7-11: write your first brief

Now turn strategy into a production request. Go to New brief and fill in the core fields. Because you seeded the Brand Bible, the avatar, desire, angle, and ad type will already be there to pick from.

  1. Pick an avatar and their core desire.
  2. Write a hook and choose a marketing angle.
  3. Set the awareness level, ad type, and funnel stage.
  4. Add an inspiration link or upload a reference, plus any notes for the editor.
  5. Save the brief.

If you already have a brief written elsewhere, you can upload a PDF or DOCX instead of filling in fields. On Growth and Team plans you can also build a custom brief template with your own fields.

Minutes 11-14: start your Creative Roadmap

Open the Creative Roadmap to see your pipeline. Your new brief can be tracked here as a creative moving through stages.

  • Set the creative's status (for example, planned or needs brief).
  • Assign an owner and a due date so it doesn't stall.
  • Try the filters to view by status, awareness level, ad type, or just your own queue.

Minute 14-15: invite a teammate

ATIYO is most useful with your team in it. Head to Team and invite one collaborator by email, choosing a role of Admin, Strategist, or Editor. They'll be able to pick up the brief you just wrote.

Roles matter: Strategists plan and brief, Editors produce. See "Inviting your team and choosing roles" to decide who gets what.

Bonus: create a Vault folder

If you have a spare minute, open The Vault and create your first folder, for example one named after the creative you just briefed. When your editor produces a cut, they'll upload it here, post versions, and you'll leave time-stamped review comments. Setting up the folder now means production has a home the moment work starts.

What you've built

In 15 minutes you now have a named workspace, a seeded Brand Bible, a real brief, a live roadmap, and a teammate on the way. That's the full ATIYO loop in miniature.

The point of this quickstart isn't polish; it's momentum. With a working skeleton in place, every future creative is a matter of picking from what you've already built rather than starting from scratch. As you run tests, mark winners on the roadmap and check your Insights to see your win rate build up over time.

Next steps

From here, deepen each area: expand your Brand Bible, upload your first assets to The Vault, and read Understanding the Creative Roadmap to get the most out of your pipeline.
