Migrating an existing brand into ATIYO
If you already run ads, you have years of customer knowledge scattered across decks, spreadsheets, and people's heads. Migrating into ATIYO is about getting that knowledge into your Brand Bible once, cleanly, so your team can brief from a single source. This guide walks the migration from onboarding through your first aligned brief, using only real import paths, no magic required.
Before you start: gather your inputs
Migration goes fastest when your existing knowledge is in one place first. Pull together whatever you already have.
- A list of your current customer avatars and any sub-avatars
- The core desires that drive each avatar's purchase
- Marketing angles that have worked in your ads
- The ad types your team produces most often
- Any brand document you want on file for reference
Run through onboarding
ATIYO onboarding is built to seed your Brand Bible quickly. It takes you through naming your brand, quick-adding library entries, and uploading a brand doc so your foundation is in place from the first session.
- Enter your brand name to create your workspace.
- Use quick-add to drop in your first avatars, desires, and angles.
- Upload your brand document so the team has it for reference.
- Confirm the basics look right before you scale up the library.
Bulk import the rest of your Brand Bible
Quick-add is great for a first pass, but if you have a full spreadsheet of avatars and angles, use the bulk import path. It is the fastest way to migrate an established brand.
- In Brand Bible, download the Excel/CSV import template.
- Map your existing avatars, sub-avatars, core desires, angles, and ad types into the template columns.
- Keep naming consistent so entries sort predictably once imported.
- Upload the completed template to bulk import every entry at once.
- Review the imported entries and fix any naming or duplicates inside ATIYO.
Bring your team and assets over
A brand is more than its Brand Bible. As you migrate, set up the people and files your workflow depends on.
- Invite your team from Team with the right role: Admin, Strategist, or Editor.
- Upload existing creative and reference assets into The Vault using nestable folders.
- Share folders by role so editors and viewers see the right things.
- Set up your first named roadmap in Creative Roadmap to hold in-flight work.
Note that the Editor and Strategist roles are workspace roles. Viewer only exists for sharing individual Vault folders, so plan permissions accordingly.
Migrate work in progress
You do not have to freeze production to migrate. Recreate the creatives currently in flight as roadmap cards so nothing falls through the cracks, and set their statuses to match reality: planned, needs brief, working, ready to test, testing, or winner.
- Open Creative Roadmap and add cards for creatives already in production.
- Set each card's status to match where it actually is today.
- Add assignees and due dates so ownership carries over.
- Attach or recreate briefs so the strategy behind each card is visible.
Validate the migration
Before you call it done, create one real brief end to end. Go to new brief, pick a migrated avatar, its core desire, and a proven angle, and confirm everything resolves cleanly from the library. If it does, your migration is working.
